Doorstep service

Your suspension does two jobs that people forget are connected: it makes the car comfortable, and it keeps the tyres in proper contact with the road. When a damper is worn, the tyre spends more time skipping across the surface, which lengthens braking distances and makes the car less predictable in an emergency. Comfort is the symptom; grip is the real cost.
Roads here are hard on these parts. Speed breakers, broken edges and potholes load bushings, ball joints, links and dampers well beyond what a smooth-road design cycle assumes, and they wear correspondingly faster. That is why we inspect these components at every service rather than waiting for a complaint.
Uneven tyre wear is the cheapest diagnostic you own. Wear on the inner edge, feathering across the tread or a scalloped pattern each point to a specific alignment or component problem. Reading that pattern before fitting new tyres is what stops you destroying the new set the same way.
Scope of work
Why it matters
A knock is narrowed to the specific joint, bush or mount producing it rather than described vaguely as suspension.
Fixing the cause of a wear pattern before fitting new tyres protects the money you are about to spend on them.
Worn dampers lengthen stopping distances by letting the tyre skip. This is a safety item, not a comfort item.
Proper geometry needs alignment equipment. We inspect and repair the components, then refer the alignment.
How the visit runs
Where and when the noise appears - turning, braking, over bumps - identifies the likely component before inspection.
Joints, bushings, boots and bearings are checked for play and deterioration with the load off the wheel.
Wear patterns are analysed, since they record months of what the suspension and geometry have been doing.
You get the findings by component, separated into safety items and advisory items, with an itemised quote.
Components are replaced, fasteners torqued to specification, and an alignment referral made where geometry is affected.
A knock over speed breakers that was not the struts. That is a worked example of this sequence rather than a customer’s job, written out from the first symptom to the reading that confirmed the repair.
