Doorstep service

Engine oil does four jobs at once: it lubricates, it carries heat away, it keeps combustion by-products in suspension, and it seals the gap between piston ring and bore. As it ages it loses the additive package that lets it do the last two, which is why oil that still looks acceptable on a dipstick can already be past useful life.
Viscosity grade matters more than most people are told. A modern engine designed around a thin oil relies on that oil reaching narrow galleries quickly on a cold start; a thicker oil chosen for the wrong reasons slows that down. We use the grade your manufacturer specifies and tell you what that grade is and why.
The filter is replaced every time. A filter that has reached its capacity opens its bypass valve, which means oil starts going around the element rather than through it. At that point the oil in the engine is unfiltered no matter how new it is.
Scope of work
Why it matters
You are told the exact viscosity and specification going into your engine, and it matches the manufacturer's requirement.
No oil change without a filter change. Fresh oil through a saturated filter is a false economy.
The sump plug is torqued to spec. Over-tightening strips alloy sumps and under-tightening causes the leak you find a week later.
Old oil leaves with the technician and the area is left as it was found - no stain on your driveway.
How the visit runs
Your model and engine determine the oil grade and capacity. That is confirmed before the drain plug is touched.
Oil is drained warm so it carries more suspended contamination out with it, and the sump is allowed to drain fully.
A new filter is fitted with its seal correctly seated, and the sump plug washer is renewed rather than reused.
The engine is filled to specification, run briefly, then checked again on a settled engine for a true level.
The plug and filter area are checked for leaks and your next change interval is recorded.
